the PELICAN is going to fly again

According to Southern Lord a new Pelican 12" will be released soon. All I can extract from the labels website is the name of the record: Ataraxia / Taraxis. So your guess is as good as mine. If you have more info feel free to share in a comment.

my LOVE for them is still BURNING

One of my favorite bands shared some news a while back so here I am updating all you people that are even more behind than I am. haha.

Burning Love finished recording their follow up LP Rotten Thing To Say and it's due out in May on Southern Lord (UK), Daymare (Japan), Resist (Australia)
Seems like I have to put in more than one order.
Also because they announced a new 7" Karla b/w Love's my only crime (Laughing Hyenas) scheduled to be out this spring on High Anxiety who also had Burning Love featured on their latest compilation LP City Limits.

US Americans and Canadians might get lucky in april when they play a few shows with Loma Prieta & Get Some on the Converge tour:
04.03.12 Syracuse NY @ the lost horizon
04.04.12 Ottawa ON @ ritual
04.05.12 Montreal QC @ la tulipe
04.05.12 Toronta ON @ mod club

You can see the orig. BL post here.

Inherit xxx Straight Edge on tour

Yo everybody,
things have been crazy over here and they still are. I needed some downtime next to working a lot and the past holidays so I watched way too much tv series. Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, American Horror Story, Six Feet Under, The Walking Dead and currently Sons Of Anarchy. All quality series if you're into that kinda stuff but now let's get back to business as uge.

Here is the link to the Facebook event page for Inherit's Show with Get It Done! tomorrow. Unfortunately I'll be busy with work again but you should really go there. Support two awesome bands and a crucial dude who put that show together.

If you for some reason cannot see the event page or are to lazy to hit the link here's the info on the location:
Bunker in Sterkrade (Los Brujos), Eugen-zur-Nieden-Ring, Oberhausen, Germany doors are supposed to be at 7:30pm

For a sound sample and more info on their tour that started yesterday and is stationed in Hasselt today hit this. You don't wanna miss!!

Sniffing Glue new record + release show

And another new rager is about to hit you across your face. Sniffin' Glue have recorded their 3rd LP and ran out of ideas for names hence it's a s/t record ;) But I don't think they ran out of good song ideas. At least that's word on the street.

Unfortunately I can't listen to the teaser song on the plastic bomb homepage because they use the flash player. If your device does like flash go check out the new tune and pre-order the record here. Even if you can't use that player order it anyway. Every LP ordered from the plastic bomb website comes with a button pack and a poster.
But if that doesn't sweeten the deal for you and you'd still like to save some money on postage come to the record release show on Dec. 3rd at AZ Mülheim, Auerstr. 51
Doors is at 8pm and the damage is rumored to be 3€
Mailorders are supposed to ship on that very same day. So come on out and get your hands on the hot stuff before anybody else. Sandblaster Distro is pretty likely to drop by as well so make sure to hit the ATM or maybe even better rob a bank before you get to the party.

HANGIN' TOUGH

Yo, their 1st Show is only a few weeks behind us but they already have a 2nd press of their demo available through their webshop. Who would have guessed they'd run out of Tapes in a couple of hours only. If you were not at their demo-release aka 1st show you never had a chance of buying one. Well a few people were lucky because they had friends attending the event. For all you other folks there is this new batch available.

Or maybe you'd prefer the US version of the Demo available from Crackin' Up Tapes

You should really check out CUT. They got a lot of good stuff going on.

But let's get back to the main topic. Hangin' Tough also got some sweet merch. If you like what you see hit the pic.

The following Shirt is Sold Out for now but a reprint is in the works. No idea who did the first run but this time it's being handled by pressure & ink.

Sorry for the wrong format on some of the pictures. This mobile blogging app fucks 'em up no matter what I do.

the OATHBREAKER reigns

And another great video clip by the always delivering Oathbreaker bunch. Fan-fucking-tastic.

Somehow embedding doesn't work the same way anymore so here is a link to the video

I hate it that I haven't made it to any of the R&F 7" release shows they played. Maybe you were lucky enough to but if you're a cursed schmuck like me... well there are some more chances for us:

Sorry but the linked tour poster was taken off the web. You'll have to search some place else for historic reference.

still BURNING still LOVE -ing

Time's here. Burning Love are in the studio to record the follow up record to their debut LP "songs for burning lovers". Stakes are high. I'm curious. Siked. A little anxious though. Can't wait. Feels a little like being 10 years old waiting for Santa ;)

And if you're into sludge-noise-stoner-doom-prog-post-hardcore-metal stuff you should subscribe to Hell Comes Home 's single Club. Might be your thing. Unfortunately it's not mine so I inquired about buying the Burning Love split 7" only. It's going to feature an unreleased song. Cross your fingers for me. No idea though if the track will be on the upcoming LP.
Peace!

Time flies

And again more than a month has passed since my last post. A lot of things have happened that I would have wanted to write about if I just would have had the time for it.
Luckily I was on holidays inbetween. Makes me feel a little better about not sharing with you all that time.
Meanwhile the Void and Faith records are out on Dischord. The Inherit 7" is out on Reflections. Rise And Fall played the record release shows for their new 7" on Deathwish which is awesome by the way. Well... all these releases are awesome and well worth your hard earned dough.
I'm sure a lot more things have happened. I made some notes so hopefully I'll have some time soon to get some more updates out there.
Take care and check out those records if you still haven't. What's keeping you?

STATE OF MIND - knowledge of self LP

People are talking about a and posted one song from the new State Of Mind record that might be seeing the light of day or what's left of it in November.
The Vinyl release will be tackled by 'Take It Back Records' from Switzerland and Netherlands' 'Bust! Records' will see to the compact disc version.
More news as they come in.
