Cobretti & more at AZ Köln Kalk tomorrow Wed. 16th

Another fine show
put together by the fine folks of Hit&Run
and Kraake Konzerte
at a fine location aka the AZ Köln Kalk.
More info on the fb-event-page.

We do have one exclusive info for you though. Sandblaster Distro will be attending and we'll be bringing a few collectible out of print records that are not listed on the Distro page and probably will never make it onto it as we're right in the middle of putting something new together that will smoothen out your shopping experience a lot. Also there will be some extra special stuff only for you folks. Stay tuned and in the meanwhile get your asses out here tomorrow!!

One - Two - Get Lewd

Check out the info on the upcoming LEWD ACTS euro-tour I stole from Deathwish inc.:

Though it's been rumored for awhile now it seems that Lewd Acts have been officially reactivated. After releasing the brilliant "Black Eyed Blues" album in 2009, the band abruptly went on hiatus while on tour in 2010. Since then, Lewd Acts members have been active in bands Loma Prieta, Griever, and more.

Here are the latest dates, more coming soon:

08/03: Hasselt, Belgium @ Muziekodroom
08/05: Port, UK @ Hevy Festival
08/08: Vienna, Austria @ Venster
08/11: Berlin, Germany @ K19

Maybe we get a little more of the below, haha. Well, I saw them 2 times on their break-up tour through europe in 2010  and was pretty impressed by the energy they put into their live-set. The music is intense as it is but combined with their on stage ferocity it definitely is something you don't wanna miss.
Get into it!!

Black Widow

Is the title of the new BURNING LOVE 2 song 7" out on High Anxiety Records. More info here.
Available at your favorite vinyl dealer. Stream the b-side song on Brooklyn Vegan.

The song "Hateful comforts" form their upcoming LP "Rotten thing to say" is available for your listening pleasure on Alternative Press.
Stay on the lookout for its release on Southern Lord Records and meanwhile go see them live if you can. For now I only know about these North American dates but I think I heard something about a euro tour.

Hang 'em if they're high in europe

Chicago Vegan Straight Edge band Noose are starting their euro tour soon. If you don't already know their two 7"es on React! Records you should definitely check out their tunes and the blog. Total early Boston rager. Fast, aggressive and uncompromising. What more could you ask for?
If you can you should go see them. I would so like to see them play but unfortunately they tour a circle with a radius of about 500km around my hometown. Major Bummer!!!

Just in time for their tour the new 7" "Depraved indifference" on Refuse Records will be ready but you can already pre-order from refuserecords@gmail.com and all you collector nerds can look forward to a special tour edition of their "The war of all against all" 7"on React! next to the special tour edition of the new platter.

Here you can read what Refuse Records had to say about the tour and 7" on another blog

Support that shit! It's crucial and you know it!!

Give + No Tolerance Tour

You must be living under a rock if you don't already know GIVE. It already took me a while to check them out but I'm glad that I did. I'm not the biggest fan of Revolution Summer Era DC Hardcore but this band really does a great Job incorporating that style into their own sound. So thank you Trapdoor-Tourz for working on their euro-tour. At the moment I can't find any official info on confirmed dates but word on the street is that they will be playing Bremen, Germany on Sept. 22nd and Münster, Germany on Sept. 23rd. Rumor also has it that they will bring No Tolerance with them. They have a 7" out on Youngblood Records that's heavily influenced by early Boston Hardcore. And I also hear some Confront in there. You can't go wrong with that.
Keep your eyes peeled

Ch-Check it out

Here are a few Bands you should check out:

Abfukk

Altered Boys

Better Times

Boston Strangler

Procession

Halbstark

Hangin' Tough

No Tolerance

Peace

Praise

Sniffing Glue

State Of Mind

Wolf Down

and two compilations:

V/A - Friends Like You

V/A - Rad Summer

A light in the dark

During the month of April I was very busy as you might already know which is why I unfortunately missed Lifetime on their short trip. Well I could have gone to their "secret" show but that was also the day of the only Unbroken show I was able to attend so I decided to watch them. Damn fucking work. I would have really liked to see Unbroken on another date of their tour and be able to see Lifetime as well. But hey, I can still break out those pictures of their showI saw in the 90's. If you're lucky I'll get around to scan some of those pics later this year after I finished the Unbroken Discography project I put on my list of things to do rather sooner than later.

If you're kinda sympathetic with me not seeing Lifetime you might want to cross your fingers that I'll be able to attend as many shows as possible of the upcoming OUTSPOKEN TOUR this coming winter. And hopefully there will be one or the other small club show. I don't like those big crowds. Attracts way to many annoying people. So yeah the wave of 90s reunions is in full swing and so far each of the bands was worth a trip. Let's hope Outspoken's performance can match the ones of Unbroken and Lifetime. From what I know about the shows they already played in the US I'm pretty positive that they will deliver a time we'll remember ;)

Overdue Update

Yo,
how is everybody? It's been way too long again since the last update.
Right now I'm in the car on our last kilometers to Dresden. Work. Tomorrow we'll continue our trip to Trieste and on Thursday evening I'll be back home. Unfortunately to late to make it to the Hazen Street Show in Düsseldorf that day. If you didn't know about that Show now you do. Go there! I know I would.
Also this trip makes me miss the Unbroken Show in... I think Hasselt. Which would be closer to where I live than the Show I can go to in Karlsruhe the day after I travelled for at least 10h to get back home from Trieste. Only to go on another 3h ride to Karlsruhe which by then I will already have passed the day before. Yes I'm a sucker for that Band which brings me to the first update that might be interesting for you. Lately I have been thinking about doing a detailed Discography of every piece of Unbroken vinyl that I own. At the moment there are 2 more 7" variants on their way to me. Leaving me with about 8 mostly more than less rare variants of records I already have one or more copies of still on my wantlist. While there are 25 diff. records in my collection already that I can think of right now. Not counting the 2 in transit and the green vinyl repress of the Discography I'll hopefully be able to buy next friday. I'd like to make this as detailed as possible so all you fellow collector nerds can check what exactly it is you have to look for. For the versions I don't own yet I'll try to get pictures from the web and for most of them I do already have one.
Since the last update I have been very busy again. Unfortunately mostly with work but also some great hangouts with friends and family including going on my more or less weekly walk with my wife who takes dogs from the animal shelter out for a walk whenever she can. This month was and still is crazy with quite a lot really good live sets by Cold World, Wolf Down, AYS, Blindside, Empowerment, Static Void, Sniffing Glue, the almighty fuckin' Flipper and our own Show with Abfukk, Idiot Talk & Short Days.
Next to all of this my head was with this Blog, the Distro and Label quite a bit. Resulting in the decision to not do anymore releases with our Label Sandblaster. We split the little bit of money we were able to salvage from the money pit a small diy hc record label usually and especially in our case is. And that's that.
But I'm still not slowing down. There's something new and probably big in the pipeline. Right now though I can't tell no one ;)
Also we have two more Shows coming up this year:
July 28th Cobretti + On The Run + 1
October 13th AYS + 2
Plus we're in touch with Filler and Richie Dagger for a possible date in January and have more Bands in mind that we want to work with. If we'd have more time we'd probably do another Show this year but the both of us are way to busy so you'll have to be patient ;)
The way things look right now May will be having more time in stall for me to put into all this so stay tuned for the beginning of a DETAILED UNBROKEN DISCOGRAPHY, show updates and that big thing we're working on.
Peace out
We arrived in Dresden
Gotta get ready to work
Oh one more thing. The Distro is still up and running. A few things are sold out and a few new ones are waiting to go online. Keep your eyes peeled
